Atlantis Greatest Loser is a competition we have run the last two years which aims to help those who need support the most. We look for people who are after a complete lifestyle change, who have always struggled to achieve their fitness goals or never known where to start.
The winners recieve 3 months free one-on-one training but also unlimited access to Atlantis gym, swimming and classes and help with diet and healthy eating.
We support the Greatest Losers all the way through and create workout plans and eating plans to help them reach those goals.

Why did you apply for Atlantis Greatest Loser?
To get help to kick start a healthier lifestyle.
What did you training involve?
Three weekly sessions with Jemma in the gym using a variety of gym equipment and weights. I also added in swimming and walking as time went on.
What was your biggest barrier?
The initial feeling of being in a "alien" environment and lack of confidence.
Was there anything you found easier than expected?
I was stronger than I expected.
How quickly did you notice a difference?
Three weeks.
Now the three months is up have you managed to keep training?
Family commitments and health issues have made it difficult recently but I am determined to get back to making training a regular commitment very soon. And only this week, I have started training with two friends to do a long distance walk together over six days in April.
Do you have any advice for people who have struggled to get into exercising?
If you are finding it difficult to begin, go to the gym/leisure centre and ask for help. Without the help of Atlantis, I think that I would still have been "thinking about" beginning to exercise on a regular basis!
Look out for the return of Atlantis' Greatest Loser in March this year!
